The premier event is expected to welcome 35,000 golf enthusiasts each day. D&D Well & Pumps, LLC, an Oconomowoc, Wisconsin-area well drilling business, installed three GWT GS Stainless Steel Submersible Pumps and two Aquavar SOLO 2 constant pressure controllers to supply water to over 450 restroom units, dozens of portable watering stations along the golf course and the on-site media center. “We are proud that Goulds Water Technology pumps and accessories were selected to address water demands for one of golf’s four major tournaments,” said Shukri Elmazi, Product Manager, Xylem Inc. “Our American-made pump products will work behind the scenes to deliver championship-quality water pressure for the professionals, media and thousands of fans attending the tournament daily.” More information about the GWT products installed at Erin Hills golf course

They also contain a built in check valve that minimizes water loss and are constructed of stainless steel to ensure dependable, long-life operation. The GS Stainless Steel Submersible Pumps are CSA and NSF-certified and comply with strict standards for safety and drinking water. To further ensure high quality performance and reliability, it is recommended that GWT Stainless Steel Submersible Pumps are paired with GWT 4” submersible motors.

It features a user-friendly information center that includes a fade-resistant LED display that shows system pressure, speed and current. The Aquavar SOLO 2 also includes a dual set point and a programmable output relay that can control another device, such as a pump, or send a status signal to a monitoring device. It is compatible with any manufacturer’s motor and can be retrofit to all conventional systems
Considered one of the most distinguished golf events, the U.S. Open is one of golf’s four major championships, along with The Masters, British Open and PGA Championship.
